 Assigned dessert for Christmas Dinner, I was on the hunt for a tasty new baking trial.  This beautiful cake came up on Pinterest and my mouth started to water!  That’s always a good sign.

The chocolate cake can be any recipe you prefer ~ but I did use the one suggested on the below link.  I love that it uses buttermilk, because it reminds me of my Grandma’s cake. 

The frosting was so fun.  I don’t have a food processor, so I hand smashed all the chips to make the tiny pieces.  I got a lot of stress out that day!    

 There was so much frosting, which was good because the oven is not level and I was able to “fill in” so they didn’t look lopsided.  Hehe.
