I was given a “salted caramel” challenge, and I have been thinking it over for a few weeks. I finally landed on this pretty thing!
I used cookie #13 as the base and rolled half a caramel chew inside (I cut them in half with my kitchen scissors).
I asked Brittani at A Girl and a Garnish for help on the topping, and she suggested that after baking, drizzle the sauce over the top so the cookies cool and are less sticky. It worked great!
After the caramel sauce, I sprinkled a little sea salt over them.
