Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

A few months ago I made some Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies.  At the time, my boss mentioned that she thought they would be really good w/chocolate chips, too, so when an email was sent out for a work potluck, I decided to try it.

The Oatmeal Butterscotch cookie falls apart and bakes so flat, I went hunting for a different, better version.  The winning recipe was found on Averie Cooks, which have been used on the cookies on this blog more than once.  I should just book-mark the site.

The tag line sold me, “ I didn’t have ‘my perfect’ good old-fashioned oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe until now.”.  I had to try them!

I did the “artful placement of chocolate chips” on this batch, and look! I got a perfect cookie.  Man, these were good.  Just the right amount of soft, crispy, oatmeal and chocolate.  We didn’t have cinnamon, so that is the only think I left out.  DELICIOUS!
